With 100 courts across 34SQ KM / 21SQ MI, racquet play is our national pastime. It all started in 1873, when Sir Brownlow Gray built Bermuda’s first tennis court.
Today, you never know whom you might meet on the other side of the net — luminaries such as golfing legend Jack Nicklaus have been spotted with racquet in hand.
Year-round play, night and day
- Most of our hotels have courts, and many are lit for night play
- A tennis pro is on duty at most facilities for lessons. Prices range from BM$20 to BM$30 for 30 minutes of instruction
- Racquet rentals are also available at an hourly rate
- Play is ideal from October through March, when daytime temperatures rarely exceed 80°F / 27°C
- When you hit our courts, proper tennis attire is preferred
Adult and junior tournament play
- Tennis tournaments are played year-round, with most of the major ones in fall and winter
